The B93 Birthday Bash is a Country Music Festival held every year, this is their 17th year!
Friday, heavy rains fell causing the Grand River to spill over the banks.
Saturday, a Dam Release at the Webber Dam in Lasning, MI into the Grand River compounded the issue.
This in turn caused extensive flooding of the Ionia County Fair Grounds some 40 Miles Down Stream!
Thousands of people were stranded on Saturday night, but the Red Cross was able to give 130 people shelter 1 mile away at a middle school.
As of Sunday Morning, 500 cars were still stuck at the fair grounds, 60 people were in the shelter, and the remainder of the festival was closed!
Country Music Stinks, now so will many more cars!
